Having passion in whatever you are doing is the light, energy, motivation, and drive behind our actions.
Our passion comes from within and can be cultivated.
It is an emotion and drives us to be enthusiastic and motivated. Passion is what pushes the athlete to run one more lap and the pianist to remain anchored to the piano bench.
- Having a Passion Project at work helps you to tap into the inner motivations and drive of yourself. What gives you joy and lights you up. Tapping into our passion projects encourages us and helps us work harder and push through work days that are stressful or hectic. Passion is the fuel in the engine of your purpose.
- Passion Projects develop our character and make us better people. If you give of yourself and help others, that creates relationships and interactions which encourage and motivate others. Our positive influence drives better relationships at our office and with our clients. Positive feeds positive!
- We all know how positive energy is encouraging and powerful. Cultivating passion cultivates success! You become more successful when you are involved in passion projects….others around you benefit and your company becomes more successful.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to have a Passion Project where I work. My passion project is being a mentor through a program called Kids Hope USA. You spend time with a mentee encouraging them, showing up each week to help them with homework, playing games, making them feel special. Showing them you care. The children in the program come from poverty and broken homes. There is much need. You can check out the program here: http://www.kidshopeusa.org/home/
If we are passionate about our life and what we do, we will be happier and more productive at work. Work will be more successful and everyone benefits.
This world can use much more passion and positive energy in the work place and in our daily lives.
Find your joy and passion! Be a light! Make your work place more successful!
